LSU's Justin Jefferson donated cash from OBJ to his church
LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson chose not to pocket the cash gifted to him by Odell Beckham Jr. following the Tigers' national championship victory over Clemson.
Jefferson, one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2020 draft, expressed regret about accepting the money at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday and revealed that he decided to donate it to his church, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
"We had some doubts about it," Jefferson said. "We know we shouldn't have done it."

LSU initially claimed the bills Beckham handed out were fake, but it later issued a statement acknowledging real cash was given to student-athletes and said it was "working with the NCAA and the SEC in order to rectify the situation."
