Former 5-star recruit Shorter transfers to Florida

Former Penn State wide receiver and five-star prospect Justin Shorter is transferring to Florida, he revealed Sunday.
Shorter left the Nittany Lions in November after hauling in 12 receptions for 137 yards in limited action. He was the No. 1 wide receiver and eighth-ranked recruit overall in the 2018 class.
Shorter will be a redshirt sophomore in 2020. As a transferring undergraduate student, he'll need a waiver from the NCAA to obtain immediate playing eligibility.
The Gators bid farewell to senior wide receivers Van Jefferson, Freddie Swain, Tyrie Cleveland, and Josh Hammond at the end of the 2019 campaign.
