Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade, a potential first-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft, revealed to Lettermen Row on Saturday that he will return for his junior season.
Wade, a redshirt sophomore, had the option of turning pro early along with Buckeyes defensive end Chase Young, cornerback Jeff Okudah, and running back J.K. Dobbins.
"I've been hearing a lot of different things, a lot of different options," Wade said. "At the end of the day, I went to the people I'm closest to and listened to their advice."
Wade's decision comes one week after he was controversially ejected from the Fiesta Bowl for targeting - a call that proved to be the turning point in Ohio State's loss to Clemson.
The Jacksonville native has recorded 15 pass breakups and four interceptions through two seasons with the Buckeyes. He figures to be among the top cornerbacks in the country in 2020.
