Arkansas announced the hiring of Georgia offensive line coach Sam Pittman as its new head coach on Sunday.
The Razorbacks fired Chad Morris before the end of his second season after failing to win an SEC game during his tenure.
Pittman's hiring represents a return to Arkansas for the 58-year-old. He was the Razorbacks assistant head coach and offensive line coach from 2013-15.
Following his first tenure in Fayetteville, Pittman was hired by the Bulldogs and was their offensive line coach for three seasons. He also served as Georgia's assistant head coach in 2019.
Arkansas has finished higher than fourth place in the SEC West just once over the last seven years.
