Report: Several Power 5 ADs turn down USC position
USC appears to be having difficulty replacing Lynn Swann as the school's athletic director.
Individuals acting on the Trojans' behalf have already reached out to "at least half a dozen" Power 5 ADs regarding the job but have failed to find any interested candidates thus far, sources told Stadium's Brett McMurphy.
Swann resigned his post Monday. Former compliance director Dave Roberts has assumed Swann's role on an interim basis while school president Carol Folt searches for the Pro Football Hall of Famer's permanent replacement.
USC announced it would complete a national search for its next athletic director following the news of Swann's resignation. It's currently unknown whether the new hire would have an impact on football head coach Clay Helton's job status.
