Report: Orgeron to receive contract extension from LSU

LSU is giving head coach Ed Orgeron a contract extension after he compiled a 19-7 record in two full seasons at the helm, a Tigers senior official told Amie Just of The Times-Picayune.
Orgeron has three years remaining on his existing deal. Terms of his new contract have yet to surface.
The burly Louisiana native led the Tigers to a Fiesta Bowl victory this season, while LSU racked up 10 wins for the first time since 2013.
Orgeron, who took over as head coach partway through the 2016 season, owns a 25-9 mark overall with LSU.
