Murray apologizes after anti-gay tweets surfaced following Heisman Trophy win

Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Kyler Murray issued an apology early Sunday morning after anti-gay tweets sent between 2011 and 2012 when he was 14 and 15 years old surfaced following the award presentation.

The tweets from the Oklahoma quarterback and Oakland Athletics draft pick, which contained homophobic slurs directed at friends, have since been deleted.
