Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book will miss Saturday night's game against Florida State due to a rib injury, multiple sources told The Athletic's Pete Sampson.

Book took a hit in the first quarter of last Saturday's game against Northwestern but played through the injury. He completed 22 of 34 pass attempts for 343 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-21 victory.

Book took over starting duties from Brandon Wimbush against Wake Forest in Week 4, but the senior will draw back in against the Seminoles, according to Ralph D. Russo of The Associated Press. He's completed 42 of 76 pass attempts for 589 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions this season and hasn't attempted a pass since losing the starting job.
