Former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant visited Auburn on Tuesday as his search for a transfer destination continues, according to The State's Matt Connolly.

"It was a good trip just sitting down and talking with coach and getting a feel for what they were all about," Bryant said. "Feel it would be a good situation to be able to step into with the guys they will have coming back on both sides of the ball."

The graduate student has also visited Missouri, Arkansas, and North Carolina. He's scheduled for another official visit to North Carolina this weekend, and then a trip to Mississippi State in the next few weeks.

Whether Bryant joins Auburn likely hinges on if quarterback Jarrett Stidham, who has one year of eligibility remaining, declares for the 2019 NFL draft.

Bryant, a South Carolina native, transferred from Clemson four games into the season after being benched in favor of freshman Trevor Lawrence.

Bryant threw for 456 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in his four starts this season. He added 144 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
