Georgia cornerback Deandre Baker caught a break Saturday versus South Carolina, as he returned an interception for a touchdown without the officials noticing he dropped the ball before the goal line.
The play was not reviewed before the extra point was kicked. A fellow Georgia player was savvy enough to pick up the ball and carry it into the end zone, ensuring the Bulldogs would've been awarded the touchdown even if the officials realized Baker's gaffe.
A pick-six that shouldn’t have been. Baker certainly dropped the ball before the line. pic.twitter.com/Exl8sI6kkA
