Death Valley duels: LSU, Clemson announce future series

Crystal LoGiudice / USA TODAY Sports

LSU and Clemson, two schools that play in home venues referred to as Death Valley, announced Wednesday a home-and-home series that will be played in 2025 and 2026.

The teams, both named the Tigers, will face off at Clemson on Aug. 30, 2025, and at LSU on Sept. 5, 2026.

"We have put an emphasis on bringing Power 5 teams outside of the Southeastern Conference to Tiger Stadium as often as we can," LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said in a news release. "It's what we want and most importantly it's what our fans want."

LSU and Clemson have met three times in the past, with LSU taking the first two contests in 1959 and 1996, and Clemson winning the most recent battle in 2012.
