Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander won't play Saturday against Florida State after suffering a setback in practice while recovering from a knee injury, the team announced.

Alexander suffered the injury during the season opener against Purdue, and has appeared in only three games, recording five tackles.

The junior is an integral part of Louisville's defense and was named a preseason All-American by the Associated Press.
