Utah played to win, but its bid to upset No. 13 USC on a last-minute two-point conversion Saturday instead of kicking a game-tying extra point proved to be the wrong decision.

An admirable defensive effort from the Trojans on the game-deciding play helped them stuff the potential game-winning score, and they recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal a 28-27 victory.

USC trailed 21-7 at halftime, but got three touchdowns in the second half, including two in the fourth quarter, to mount an impressive comeback at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
