Kevin Sumlin's wife wants to 'make an example' of sender of racist letter
Charlene Sumlin says she won't stand for threats against her family, anonymous or not.
Charlene, the wife of Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin, issued a personal response Sunday to the racist letter that was sent anonymously to her husband following the Aggies' loss to UCLA on Sept. 2. The letter was delivered to the Sumlin household, and Charlene posted it to Twitter on Thursday.
Along with thanking her supporters, Charlene had some strong words for the sender of the letter, and confirmed that the family intends to press charges once the person is identified:
They asked us if we wanted to press charges and I couldn't answer "YES, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW" fast enough. I want to make an example of this person. I want everyone to understand that I will do anything and everything to PROTECT MY FAMILY. Period. I literally cannot wait to look at this person eye to eye. There is a real unique kind of cowardice in someone to anonymously criticize, ridicule, or threaten another person. If I have the opportunity to expose even ONE troll. I am going to do it.

Charlene confirmed in her response that authorities have all the information they need to track down the sender of the letter thanks to a bar code found on the back of the envelope. She added forensics are being run in order to determine where the letter came from, and that authorities are currently investigating.
