The Houston area has been hit with severe rainfall the last two days, resulting in severe flooding in the area that's shut down interstate highways and closed schools.
At Rice University, the field at Rice Stadium flooded and turned into a lake, as pictured Wednesday morning.
At one point early Wednesday, all entrances to the school grounds were flooded. However, the university did not issue a closure once entrances were later reopened, leaving it up to individual faculty members to decide whether to hold classes or not.
