Harbaugh highest-paid coach in NCAA or NFL

Jim Harbaugh's team is ranked No. 2, but his salary takes a backseat to no one.

Thanks to a total pay of $9,004,000, the Michigan bench boss owns the distinction of being the highest-paid football coach in America, according to a list of coaches' salaries obtained by USA TODAY Sports:

Harbaugh's salary not only makes him the highest-paid NCAA coach, but also trumps the salary of every NFL coach. The New Orleans Saints' Sean Payton and Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks are the highest-paid NFL coaches with salaries of $8 million.
