Ohio State offensive lineman Demetrius Knox will miss the next eight weeks after suffering a broken foot, OSU confirmed Friday.
The news was originally reported by Eric Seger of Eleven Warriors.
Knox underwent surgery Friday to repair the foot he injured in practice this week, and will not play any regular-season games for the Buckeyes, but could return for a bowl game.
The sophomore missed all of the 2015 spring practice season when he sustained the same injury in February 2015.
The backup right guard was a four-star recruit out of Fort Forth, Texas. Knox was rated No.11 for his position coming out of high school and ranked as the 19th-best player in his home state.
