An important question emerged from Monday's Big 12 media days in Dallas: Does Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy have a mullet?
Many people in attendance, or watching the event at home, immediately praised the hairstyle of the 48-year-old coach, but upon further review it's not clear this qualifies.
The Beastie Boys introduced mainstream society to "The Mullet" in the 1994 song "Mullet Head." The hairstyle has taken off since then and the common description now is "business in the front, party in the back."
Gundy is clearly letting his flow out on the back, but with the sides and the top roughly the same length, it's hard to say whether this classifies as a pure mullet.
Alas, there must be a resolution before anybody can carry on with their Monday, so it's left up to the people. Does Mike Gundy have a mullet?
