Urban Meyer can relax, Ohio State is recruiting for itself at the 2016 NFL Draft.
After five former Buckeyes were selected in Round 1, Meyer compared his team's early success to an almost night-long advertisement for his club.
"It was like a three-hour infomercial for our program," Meyer said Friday on NFL Network before the beginning of Round 2.
Ohio State had five players selected within the first 31 picks, including a record-tying three in the top 10:
Player | Overall Pick | NFL Team |
---|---|---|
Joey Bosa | 3 | San Diego Chargers |
Ezekiel Elliott | 4 | Dallas Cowboys |
Eli Apple | 10 | New York Giants |
Taylor Decker | 16 | Detroit Lions |
Darron Lee | 20 | New York Jets |
The Buckeyes are expected to have several more players selected during Day 2, including Vonn Bell, Michael Thomas, and Joshua Perry.
