Vanderbilt center Luke Kornet will be sidelined four-to-six weeks with a tear in his MCL, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.

Kornet suffered the injury during practice Monday.

The junior plays a key role for the No. 21 Commodores, who are in action Wednesday versus Dayton. Kornet is averaging 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while also providing a huge defensive presence with 2.8 blocks per game.

The reported time frame for Kornet's return does put the 7-footer in line to be available for Vanderbilt's big clash with Kentucky on Jan. 23.
