Alonzo Nelson-Ododa is no longer a Richmond Spider.
The 6-foot-9 forward has been granted a release to transfer from the program, head coach Chris Mooney announced on Tuesday.
"We wish all of the best to Alonzo as he moves on and completes his final year of collegiate eligibility," said Mooney. "We are proud of him for graduating and earning his degree at the University of Richmond."
Nelson-Ododa averaged 6.6 points and 5.1 rebounds last season and led the team in blocks with 45. He missed eight games after undergoing surgery to repair a broken bone near his eye during a game.
With 185 career blocks, Nelson-Ododa ranks second all-time in Richmond history. As a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to play immediately.
