Senior guard Ge'Lawn Guyn has opted to leave the Bearcats.

"I've given him his release," Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin told Tom Groeschen of The Cincinnati Enquirer. "If he decides to graduate and transfer, that's up to him."

Guyn started Cincinnati's first two games of the season, and averaged 3.5 points per game before suffering a right pinky finger injury in practice. He hasn't returned to action since.

"He hasn't been with the team since Christmas," said Cronin. "He is focused on graduating. In the second semester he has just focused on academics."

The Bearcats have a 20-9 record this season.
