On Friday, the news that Kedren Johnson would not be returning to Vanderbilt came out, but details were scarce.
Later that evening, Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings revealed that Johnson and fellow guard Dai-Jon Parker are not welcome back to the team, an announcement he withheld until each player had made their intention to transfer known publicly first.
Stallings said that the standards and responsibilities of being a Vanderbilt player were not upheld. Johnson had been suspended for the entire 2013-14 season, but Parker's dismissal is a bit more surprising. As a junior, Parker averaged 8.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists, and the Commodores will be a little thin in the frontcourt without the two departing guards.
