A healthy Mike Krzyzewski defends his head of hair
Following the Duke Blue Devils' pounding of rival North Carolina on Saturday night, Mike Krzyzewski was required to address a health scare that occurred during a game against Wake Forest earlier in March.
After boasting that he had "the brain of a 20-year-old" following his medical check-up, the topic of Krzyzewski's jet-black hair became a point of discussion (obviously) at the post-game news conference.
Coach K was forced into playing some stingy defense.
"I will tell you this—I do not color my hair," Krzyzewski said via Laura Keeley of the Raleigh News and Observer. "I do not. Now, I’m losing my hair, which a lot of people do. But I do not color my hair. I don’t. That’s a myth. My buddies would kill me."
While Duke's roller coaster season, for the average man, would be enough to spawn a few grey hairs, Krzyzewski's successes in becoming the winningest coach in Division I basketball history apparently hasn't come at the expense of his appearance.
Beating Carolina helps.
