Greg Gordon and Malachi Davis each scored 24 points, leading LIU to a 79-70 win over Mercyhurst in Tuesday's Northeast Tournament final.
With Mercyhurst still completing its transition to Division I, LIU had already punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament after defeating Wagner in the conference tournament's semifinal.
Sharks senior guard Jamal Fuller added 10 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists, while Mason Porter-Brown chipped in with 14 points off the bench.
LIU will be competing in its first NCAA Tournament in nearly a decade. The program's last appearance in the Big Dance was in 2018, when it fell to Radford in the First Four.
