Days after head coach Bob Huggins resigned following a DUI arrest, West Virginia will have some more holes to fill, with Tre Mitchell, Kerr Kriisa, and Joe Toussaint reportedly entering the transfer portal Friday.

Mitchell is entering the portal as a graduate transfer to be immediately eligible to play for his next program, according to ON3's Jamie Shaw. He'll be searching for his fourth school after stints at UMass and Texas prior to his one season in Morgantown in 2022-23.

Toussaint is also eligible as a grad transfer, CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reports. The former Iowa guard played his first season with the Mountaineers last campaign as the team's sixth man.

Kriisa spent three seasons at Arizona before heading to West Virginia this offseason. As a recent transfer, he'll have 30 days following Huggins' departure to find a new school and be able to play right away.

"It's been a crazy and busy week," Kriisa told ESPN's Jonathan Givony, "I'm deeply sorry about the situation, as I was really looking forward to playing for coach Huggins. Huggs will always be my guy. I've only known him for a few months now, but he is the most genuine man I have ever met. He is the man."

Despite entering the portal, Kriisa added that he wouldn't rule out returning to West Virginia.

In addition to the three players in the portal, projected key contributors Jose Perez, RaeQuan Battle, and Jesse Edwards will wait to see who the Mountaineers hire as the team's next coach before deciding whether to enter the portal, sources told Stockrisers' Jake Weingarten.

Perez, Battle, and Edwards came to the program this year as new transfer additions.

West Virginia athletic director Wren Baker hopes to have a new head coach in place by Monday, sources told Stadium's Jeff Goodman.
