Ron Holland, the second overall prospect in the 2023 ESPN 100, has decommitted from Texas, he announced Friday on Instagram.
"I want to take this time to thank head coach RT (Rodney Terry) and the entire Texas coaching staff for their consideration," Holland wrote. "I would also like to thank the Longhorn Nation for all their love and support."
Holland added that Texas will remain one of the top schools on his list.
The Duncanville, Texas, native originally selected the Longhorns in November over Arkansas and UCLA. Holland's former high school teammate, Anthony Black, played one season with the Razorbacks before declaring for the NBA draft.
Texas added former Oral Roberts star guard Max Abmas from the transfer portal Thursday.
