UConn star Jordan Hawkins will forgo his remaining college eligibility and enter the 2023 NBA Draft, he announced Friday on ESPN's "NBA Today."

"Hearing my name called on draft night will be a blessing," Hawkins said. "I worked so hard for this, me and my dad, we've been through so much."

Hawkins is projected to be a first-round pick.

The sharpshooter averaged 16.2 points and shot 38.8% from beyond the arc in his sophomore season, helping lead the Huskies to the national championship.

Hawkins scored at least 12 points in every NCAA Tournament game as UConn steamrolled its way to the title, winning every contest by double digits.
