Louisville and men's basketball head coach Chris Mack have agreed to split, Mack confirmed to reporters Wednesday, including WDRB's Dalton Godbey.

The news comes after Tuesday's edition of "The Chris Mack Radio Show" was canceled.
The university's board of trustees and athletic board were set to meet Wednesday to discuss Mack's standing with the program, but the school has yet to release a statement on the matter.
Louisville is currently 11-9 on the season, including 5-5 in ACC play.
Mack has coached the Cardinals since the start of the 2018-19 campaign and was in the fourth year of a seven-year contract. His best season with the program came during the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 campaign when Louisville finished 24-7.
Mack's contract buyout is $12 million, although the separation agreement could potentially result in the coach receiving a smaller payout, ESPN's Jeff Borzello notes.
The 52-year-old owns a career coaching record of 283-134 (.679 winning percentage) with stops at Louisville and Xavier. Mack has led his teams to the NCAA Tournament in nine of the 13 seasons he's coached.
