Five-star 2022 wing Dillon Mitchell has committed to playing for Texas, he told ESPN's Paul Biancardi.
Mitchell was also considering Florida State and Tennessee, according to Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman, but he ultimately opted to play for Longhorns head coach Chris Beard.
"I believe Texas and coach Beard will help me get to the next level, to become an NBA player someday," Mitchell told Biancardi, per ESPN's Jeff Borzello.
Beard expressed his excitement about Mitchell's decision on social media.
