Cade Cunningham declares for 2021 NBA Draft
Oklahoma State freshman guard Cade Cunningham will enter the 2021 NBA Draft, he announced Thursday.
The move was not considered a surprise, as Cunningham is widely expected to be the first overall selection.
The 19-year-old was recently named the nation's top freshman, voted Big 12 Player of the year, and selected as a first-team All-American. Cunningham is also a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award.
Cunningham averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.6 steals during his lone collegiate campaign, leading the Cowboys to a 21-9 record and a berth in the conference title game.
Oklahoma State was given a No. 4 seed in the NCAA tournament but was upset in the second round by Oregon State.
The 2021 Draft is scheduled for July 29, with the lottery set for June 22.
