Throughout the college basketball season, we'll highlight some of the top betting trends ahead of the biggest games on the schedule. Here are the best trends and angles for tonight's slate.
After snapping a historic streak against North Carolina, Clemson has another streak to snap against Duke on Tuesday, having lost its last three against the spread in the series and 11 of its last 13 outright. Emotional hangover aside, playing the Blue Devils directly after the Tar Heels is a less-than-enviable spot - the last 12 teams to do it went 0-12 straight up with a 4-8 record ATS.
Trend play: Duke -10
Good luck scoring against Kansas, which boasts KenPom's third-best defense despite the third-toughest strength of opposing offense. It's led to an 11-4 under record for the Jayhawks, who have gone under in their last five games and in all four road games this year. The Sooners are 4-0-1 to the under in their last five at home with a lousy 1-4-1 ATS mark.
Trend play: Kansas -6, under 137.5
Unbeaten San Diego State has impressed in many ways this year en route to a top-10 ranking, particularly away from home. The Aztecs are a perfect 5-0 ATS on the road - the second-most ATS wins by any undefeated road team - covering by an average of 10.3 points in those contests. It could continue against Fresno State, which has gone 5-10-1 ATS in its last 16 home games under coach Justin Hutson.
Trend play: San Diego State -7
Which will last longer: West Virginia's ATS streak or its under streak? Both are impressive, with the Mountaineers having won four straight ATS with eight straight unders ahead of Tuesday's clash with TCU. The Horned Frogs have gone 3-1 ATS amid a four-game win streak with a 10-5 record to the under, so bettors might be safer playing the total than either side here.
Trend play: Under 127.5
The fall from grace has been swift for Ohio State, which has lost four straight ATS since reaching No. 2 in the polls. All four games went under as the Buckeyes' offense posted its four lowest outputs of the season. Despite the slump, low scores are no fluke for Ohio State, which is 12-4 to the under through 16 games. That lines up well with a Nebraska team coming off six straight unders.
Trend play: Under 138.5
