Bol Bol's tenure at Oregon is likely over after just nine games.
The 7-foot-2 freshman center underwent season-ending surgery to repair a non-displaced fracture of the navicular bone in his left foot on Thursday, Bol's lawyer Bryan J. Freedman told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Bol will begin rehabilitation next week in preparation for the 2019 NBA draft. He'll also be using crutches and a boot for eight-to-10 weeks before returning to basketball activity this summer.
"At surgery, two screws were inserted into the navicular bone and bone graft from his pelvis was added to speed up the healing, which will expedite his return to play," Freedman said.
The projected lottery pick addressed his injury in an Instagram post, mentioning how Oregon was his "dream school" while thanking Ducks fans for their support.
Bol, the son of former NBA player Manute Bol, scored 20 or more points in six of his nine outings. He averaged 21 points on 56.1 percent shooting from the field, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.7 rejections in 29.8 minutes.
