4-star G Makai Ashton-Langford asks for release from UConn
UConn's week just keeps getting worse.
After watching assistant coach Glen Miller, along with forwards Vance Jackson and Steven Enoch, leave the program, the Huskies are now losing a commitment from four-star point guard Makai Ashton-Langford.
Ashton-Langford is requesting his release, he told Adam Finkelstein of ESPN.
"At first, it was mainly because of Coach Miller leaving that made me think about it," Ashton-Langford said, "but as I started to do that, I realized I kind of made my first decision spontaneously right after my visit."
Kevin Ollie and company are trying to get back to the NCAA tournament after missing out for the second time in three years, and this certainly won't help.
Before choosing the Huskies, Ashton-Langford was also being pursued by Louisville and Providence.
