Virginia fails to score in final 6:10 of 1st half against Miami

No. 18 Virginia was lucky to be down just a point at halftime against Miami, 20-19, as the Cavaliers failed to record a field goal in the final 6:10 of the first half.

During that stretch, Virginia scored just two points, thanks to Isaiah Wilkins making two free throws, the only time the Cavs were able to see the ball go through the hoop.

Miami didn't do much better, as the two teams combined to shoot just 34.1 percent from the field and 20 percent from behind the arc. Still, the Hurricanes closed on an 8-2 run to take the lead into the break.

It wasn't all bad though, as the Hurricanes and Cavaliers went a perfect six-for-six from the free throw line in the first half.
