John Calipari delivered yet another five-star recruit to Kentucky on Thursday, as center Nick Richards committed to the Wildcats.
"I want to play at the highest level," Richards told Jeff Borzello of ESPN. "Kentucky always said that they are the highest level in college basketball."
The 6-foot-11, 250-pounder becomes the first player to commit to Kentucky for the 2017 class, and could help influence a number of top-20 recruits considering a commitment to the Wildcats.
Richards is the fifth-ranked center in the class of 2017, and is listed as the 12th-best overall prospect in the country. He choice Kentucky over Syracuse and Arizona in his final decision.
