Dyson scores 30, Bethune-Cookman takes down Florida A&M 98-86

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Dhashon Dyson's 30 points led Bethune-Cookman past Florida A&M 98-86 on Saturday night.

Dyson also had five assists for the Wildcats (6-8, 1-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Reggie Ward Jr. shot 8 of 10 from the field and 5 for 5 from the line to add 21 points. Jakobi Heady shot 6 of 7 from the field and 5 for 7 from the line to finish with 17 points, while adding five rebounds and three steals.

The Rattlers (2-10, 0-1) were led in scoring by Jalen Speer, who finished with 32 points and six assists. Shannon Grant added 18 points and two steals for Florida A&M. Roderick Coffee III also had 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Both teams play again on Saturday. Bethune-Cookman hosts Grambling and Florida A&M hosts Southern.
