Spurs to rest Big 3 Saturday vs. Thunder, Monday vs. Grizzlies

With the playoffs just around the corner and the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference all but locked up, head coach Gregg Popovich will rest some of his key players over this final stretch to preserve their strength for the trials ahead.
The "Big 3" of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili will not play during the team's upcoming two-game road trip, with games Saturday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as the second meeting in four days against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
They will, however, be in uniform Friday night when the Grizzlies pay a visit to the AT&T Center.
Danny Green, Patty Mills, and Boris Diaw will be held out for rest Friday against Memphis, while All-Star Kawhi Leonard sits due to a bruised right quadriceps.
The Spurs currently own a 60-11 record, which is four games back of the Golden State Warriors, but 10 1/2 up on the Oklahoma City Thunder and the No. 3 seed.
