Report: LSU's Ben Simmons to hire LeBron James' agent
LSU freshman Ben Simmons is expected to hire Rich Paul of Klutch Sports to serve as his professional representation, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Paul also serves as LeBron James' agent. Simmons, long expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft, saw his college career come to an end when LSU rejected an offer to participate in the NIT.
Within basketball circles, it isn't a surprise to see Simmons working with Klutch. His older sister has been an employee of the agency since 2014. She was hired shortly after James and Paul both began recruiting Simmons as a potential future client.
The only other candidate in college hoops getting nearly as much hype as a potential No. 1 pick is Duke's Brandon Ingram.
In his lone season at LSU, Simmons averaged 19.2 points and 11.8 rebounds, while struggling to consistently fulfill his duties in the classroom.
