The Denver Nuggets have signed JaKarr Sampson to a multi-year contract, the team announced Monday afternoon.

The deal is reportedly for two seasons, with the second being non-guaranteed, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Sampson, 22, was recently released by the Philadelphia 76ers in order to clear a roster spot for Joel Anthony, who the team landed in a trade-deadline deal with the Houston Rockets.

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds on 42.6 percent shooting in his second year with the 76ers prior to being waived.
