No. 1: 2005-2013 Boston Celtics

The Celtics' very existence is a tribute to the Irish. Boston Garden Arena Corporation president Walter Brown named the team when it was formed in 1946. He said one of the reasons he wanted "Celtics" as the nickname was that "Boston is full of Irishmen."
The jerseys brought a little luck to the team in the first year of the franchise's modern "Big Three" era, as Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett combined for 43 points in helping the Celtics overcome a 22-point deficit to down the defending champion San Antonio Spurs by a score of 93-91.
