Report: Majority of NBA teams in favor of ads on jerseys
A majority of teams are in favor of selling ad space on NBA uniforms, sources told Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com.
League officials reportedly gathered last Sunday during All-Star weekend to discuss a proposal to sell a 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches patch on the left shoulder sling on jerseys for sponsorship opportunities.
The meeting was just preliminary, and voting on the matter won't officially take place until April's Board of Governors meeting, at the earliest, but it appears there's significant interest in the idea.
The league debuted the design with a KIA sponsorship on their 2016 All-Star Game uniforms.

Haynes notes that the Los Angeles Lakers and a few other teams are opposed, but the league would need only a two-thirds vote to approve the proposal.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver, however, sees ads being featured on jerseys as "inevitable" and it's just a matter of how the revenue would be split fairly among teams and players.
A 2011 estimate provided by Silver suggested that selling ad space on jerseys would bring in $100 million per year in revenue.
