ATLANTA - Arron Afflalo and Carmelo Anthony both scored 23 points, and the New York Knicks almost lost a 16-point lead before holding on to beat the Atlanta Hawks 107-101 on Tuesday night, giving the New York its second win over Atlanta in three days.
The Knicks, who have won three of four, also beat the Hawks 117-97 in New York on Sunday. That last win came on the back of a spectacular shooting display from Afflalo.
Afflalo was once again solid, as he was a game-high plus-16 while shooting an efficient 9-of-16 from the floor. He added seven rebounds and four assists as well.
The Knicks led by 16 in the third quarter but saw the lead reduced to two points in the final minute before Jose Calderon scored on a drive with 18 seconds remaining.
Paul Millsap - who captained the comeback with several clutch threes and crucial offensive rebounds - led Atlanta with 19 points. Jeff Teague had 16.
The undersized Hawks struggled in their matchups with the two 7-footers in New York's lineup, Robin Lopez and rookie Kristaps Porzingis. And when all else failed, frustrations boiled over in a scuffle between Porzingis and Kent Bazemore.

Porzingis had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
