After sitting out Wednesday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony plans to play Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.

Melo missed Wednesday's game due to a sore ankle he suffered on Monday against the Orlando Magic.

Anthony has been New York's best offensive player this season, leading the team in points per game (21.8), player efficiency rating (20.4), and 3-points made per game (1.6).

New York struggled to score the ball in Anthony's absence, putting up just 84 points in the loss to Cleveland. The Knicks have followed up their recent four-game winning streak with back-to-back losses, and currently sit 12th in the Eastern Conference.
