Justin Bieber was baptized in Tyson Chandler's bathtub

Justin Bieber had his spiritual rebirth in - of all places - Tyson Chandler's bathtub.

According to a story about the mega pop star to be published in the January 2016 issue of GQ, Bieber began living in New York City with Pastor Carl Lentz of Hillsong Church in January 2014 when the singer asked to be baptized.

But that's easier said than done when you're famous. Bieber's baptism was supposed to take place in a Manhattan hotel, where the church usually rents out pools for baptisms, but the paparazzi discovered the plan and flooded the area.

Thankfully, Chandler - a member of the New York Knicks at the time - saved the night. Pastor Lentz called Chandler, who offered them his tub, since his building's pool was closed at the time.

Stranger things have happened.
