Tokoto was released by the Sixers on Monday, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis:
Due to his status as a second-round draft pick, Tokoto was never a surefire bet to crack the Sixers' roster, even with the abundance of injuries they experienced throughout the preseason. Although he was unable to find much success in his minimal court time during exhibition play, Tokoto remains a candidate to see the NBA at some point later in his career after proving himself first in the D-League or overseas.
