Bucks' Jabari Parker goes through full practice: 'It felt good'
It's been a long rehab process for Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker, and on Tuesday he went through a full three-hour practice with the team as their training camp got underway in Madison, Wis.
"It felt good," Parker told reporters. "I'm cherishing my opportunity."
It's a big development for the No. 2 pick in the 2014 draft, who went down with a torn ACL 25 games into his NBA career last December. While Parker has been working out with teammates for several weeks, Bucks coach Jason Kidd was impressed with Tuesday's performance.
"He went the whole practice," Kidd said. "He was Jabari, he was great."
The Bucks plan on being careful with Parker during camp, but the 20-year-old suggested he'll participate in both Wednesday sessions.
Milwaukee was one of the league's pleasant surprises last year, finishing sixth in the East despite playing most of the season without Parker. The prospect of the combo forward being healthy, the addition of an interior scorer in Greg Monroe, and the continued development of long, athletic players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton make the Bucks a team to watch this season.
