Luke Ridnour's most excellent adventure has come to a halt.
After being traded four times in the span of a week, Ridnour had a week to collect himself and settle in as a member of the Toronto Raptors. A temporary member.
The Raptors waived Ridnour on Thursday, the team announced.
It's not at all surprising, as Ridnour's $2.75-million salary for 2015-16 would have become guaranteed later this week. By waiving him, Toronto clears his salary from the books, freeing up a bit of additional wiggle room to fill out the roster. The Raptors had acquired him essentially for nothing, in the event they wanted to use his non-guaranteed deal to entice a team to dump salary their way.

The 34-year-old has averaged 9.3 points and 4.5 assists over 830 career games. He remained moderately effective as a veteran leader for the Orlando Magic in 2014-15, averaging four points and two assists in 47 games off the bench, and could catch on somewhere as an unrestricted free agent.
