Biyombo signed a two-year, $6 million contract with the Raptors on Saturday, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Analysis:
Following the acquisitions of Spencer Hawes and Fran Kaminsky last month, the Hornets opted not to extend a qualifying offer to Biyombo, making him an unrestricted free agent. Upon joining his new squad, Biyombo will serve as Jonas Valanciunas' primary backup at center and froncourt depth in general. In 64 contests last season, Biyombo average 4.8 points (on 54 percent shooting), 6.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 19 minutes.
