The "NBA 2K16" franchise has already enlisted director Spike Lee to create its single-player campaign, so why not add Lee's sidekick from the Mars Blackmon Nike commercials of the early 1990s as well?
Michael Jordan will appear on a special edition cover of the product, and people who pre-order it will receive a Jordan poster and Fathead as well as gaming accoutrements such as a digital jersey and shoes.
The game is scheduled for a Sept. 29 release, but those who order the Jordan version will be receive it four days earlier.
The regular version of the game will feature three covers with current players: Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, and James Harden.
